what is a TV show the most?
it’s a close call between desperate housewives and weeds. both GREAT shows and equally hysterical in their own ways. i’d say maybe i enjoy weeds a little bit more. there are some many times in weeds that legitimately made me laugh my ass off. the moments were so funny that i had to rewind and watch them over again cause they were too good to only see once. desperate housewives had those moments too, but i don’t think as many. but i really enjoyed the characters’ depth more.
one achievement that you’re proud of
graduating college and moving onto grad school. it’s hard to believe that i actually have a degree now and i just started working towards another. i think i’ll be more proud when i get my Masters. it’ll be the moment that i finally get what i’ve essentially been working towards since i started going to school. all the diligence, hard work, loads of homework and time spent doing my best will come down to that degree. and i’ll finally get to start the job that i know i’m going to love. but for now, getting through 4 years of college is pretty awesome.
a moment you felt most satisfied in your life
the cruise. the whole thing. i realize that’s multiple moments. it’s probably one of the happiest and most memorable things i’ve done in my life. everything about it was amazing. the food, the dancing, the pool, the sun, the relaxation, the good times with my best friends and making new ones. i actually have a collage of pictures from it as my background of my computer.
there’s one specific moment i remember that i really felt grateful for the life i have. it was early in the morning, maybe around 8:30 or 9, and i was up because the rocking of the boat prevented me from sleeping too well the first night. and i was sitting out on one of the decks just listening to my ipod. there was a nice breeze and the sun was shining down on the water, making it sparkle. i could hear the waves smashing against the boat through my music and it was so calming. i couldn’t see anything but ocean. and i really just kept thinking “this is the life”. now of course that wasn’t the most exciting part of the trip, but i think it’s the moments where you have a second to really take everything in and realize where you are, what you’re doing, who you’re with, those are the moments you really are thankful for what you have.
do you think the hardest thing is sometimes the easiest thing?
i guess it could be. something might be the hardest thing for you to do, but it may be what’s easiest for the other person or people you’re doing it for. for example, when one person breaks up with another, it can be really hard for the person who did the breaking up, but they have to keep out of contact with the person they broke up with because it makes it easier for them to move on. maybe it’s more the best thing for the other person, rather than the easiest.
what is one step of action you would take to change the world?
i’d try to fix world hunger. no one should have to go without a meal or wonder how they’re going to get their next meal. but it would take a hell of lot more than one step to fix that or any other major world problem.
i’ve had this post in my drafts for about three years now. i remember thinking how far away this day seemed when i saved it. but i also remember thinking “but it’ll probably fly by.” i was right.
today, i graduate from college with a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences from Quinnipiac University. There aren’t enough words to describe how much Quinnipiac means to me. I’ve made some amazing memories and even better friends. I’ve learned so much in and out of the classroom and grown so much as a person. Although i’m not really saying goodbye to Quinnipiac (considering I start grad school here TOMORROW), i am saying good bye to a very important chapter in my life. People aren’t kidding when they say college is the best 4 years of your life. i’m sorry to see it go, but excited to see what’s ahead.
Congratulations Quinnipiac Class of 2013 <3
Heidi the rabbit!
Heidi has arthritis in her knees and hips so to help with the pain, she swims a few times a week!
Sometimes she wears a scrunchie on her ears so that they don’t get wet!
